Artist's Statement

My life has been defined by water. I grew up spending my summers on Georgian Bay in Canada. From an early age I discovered that water is often serene, peaceful and calm. On ‘The Bay’ I soon discovered water could be my friend or foe. It can conjure great terror and must always be respected. We don’t control it. From that young age I also became aware of the sky, not only for it’s beauty but what it told us or warned us.
